Looks and smells like poop now....but just wait and see what I have in mind for this ‘73-Datsun 240Z’. Just bought it from a nice couple in the middle of nowhere. Sat 15 years in the garage. True California car-Blue plates, no rust, no accidents. Great base for the beast we are going to build. Will keep u posted.

Am I the only one that thinks thats just a bad idea? Why not get something already modded and start with that..it seems to me they are ruining an absolutely perfect car.
Don’t get me wrong, I love modifying cars but molesting something so close to factory spec, specially a car that old just annoys me.

I’m getting pretty tired of people stuffing RBs and 2Js into otherwise fine 240Zs. I really just don’t see the point. That being said, if they’re building a throwback vintage racer with an L31, triples and the rest of what you could theoretically find on a balls out crazy racer from the 70s, I’m all for it.

Ahh you’re fine. I see the appeal of modernizing a Z, but if I’m being super pragmatic (which... why?) if you’re gonna replace everything in a car, why start with a car that already has everythin? Just more work removing things haha.
And I’ve almost got the same setup on my 240, L26 but the webers are in a box pleading on their knees to be rebuilt
